Harbour Bridge

The Harbour Bridge and the Opera House are the 2 things that come to mind first, when you think of Sydney. The glorious waterfront bustling with tourists, the shops, the entertainment in and around Circular Quay, the skyline dominated by the tall buildings of the CBD and the numerous eateries are all the things to look forward to.
The way both Melbourne and Sydney have made good use of their waterfronts is commendable. I rue the fact that the same cannot be said about India, where we continue to pollute our rivers and canals.

Shot at the entrance to the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne.

The NGV is located on the famous Saint Kilda Rd. The exhibition includes European paintings, Chinese, South East Asian and Indian sculpture, Modern Art and even Egyptian excavations. Highlight for me was

The modern art section was a bit disappointing but i guess that is more to do with my lack of understanding.

Overall a worthwhile experience. Do visit the Tea shop, where you get to taste a variety of tea flavours from around the world. Though entry to the gallery is free, you've got to pay for the tea.

Originally the site was called the Sow and Piglets but was renamed the Twelve Apostles to attract tourists. The rate of erosion at the base of the limestone pillars is approximately 2 cm per year. The coastline is at constant war with wind and the waves thus giving us this spectacular view.

There are 2 routes to the 12 apostles, the scenic or tourist route from Torquay to Port Campbell, which is a spectacular but curvy route along the coast and the other a straightforward route through the country side that doesn't offer much.
